'Dancing' sends a top performer home
Tue Oct 26, 2010
DWTS has little to do with who can actually dance and everything to do with ratings and who has a fan base. Every year, one of the best dancers gets bounced early and several underserving celebrities stay until the later rounds -- Audrina this year, Natalie Coughlin last year...
'Dancing' doesn't need added distractions
Tue Oct 12, 2010
It's too much of a popularity contest than a dance contest. Total stiffs get advanced each week while someone with real talent or potential gets voted off because their fan base isn't big enough. I can't watch it anymore.
Do you think reality TV competitions are rigged?
Fri Apr 16, 2010
DWTS clearly lets fan faves stay instead of celebs who can actually dance. See Natalie Coughlin from last season as a prime example.
Two more couples get the boot on ‘Dancing’
Tue Nov 3, 2009

Two US gold medalists to be on Wheaties box
Fri Aug 29, 2008
Doe the AP have a fact checker? More than two other Americans have won the Olympic decathlon -- Dan O'Brien, Bill Toomey, Rafer Johnson, and Milt Campbell off the top of my head.
In sports, the media have crossed the line
Tue Aug 5, 2008
Vebtre is right that the sense of perspective about what is truly "newsworthy" has disappeared. However, athletes are celebreties like anyone else in the entertainment business, and they shouldn't expect any different treatment just because they play a sport.
